Blessing of Palms

The blessing of palms for Palm Sunday is the first part of the Mass.

There may be no blessing after the Mass. It is imperative that people be told not to be late. That's what i said in the announcements today. Pinoys have this bad habit of demanding the priest to do blessings (and putting of ashes) outside the Mass. TELL THEM DO NOT FORCE THE PRIEST TO COMMIT AN ABUSE. It's wrong enough that they're late, they have the effrontery to tell the priest to do wrong. And when they don't get what they want, they hit the priests with palms or poke his face. Ayusin niyo ugali niyo.

Lent is a time for conversion and turning away from sin. Don't ruin it on palms.
